This notice covers the Blockyard: Build Ideas mobile app on iOS and Android. It is generated from the same declarations the app files with Apple and Google, so what it says here and what the stores show you are the same list.

What is collected, and why

To make the app work

• Crash reports
• Performance and diagnostics data
• An account identifier
• Your email address
• Images you upload
• Other content you post
• A scrambled identifier for this install, so a like or a view counts once
• A notification token, if you turn on notifications for your builds
• What you have purchased

To understand how the app is used

• Which screens and features you use
• A device identifier

To show and measure advertising

• Which adverts you saw and interacted with
• The device advertising identifier
• Approximate location, derived from your IP address

Tracking

Some of the advertising data above is used for tracking as Apple defines it. On iOS you are asked for permission before any of it is used that way, and in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom you are asked separately whether advertising may be personalised. Saying no is free — the app works the same, and you still see adverts, just untargeted ones. You can change either answer at any time from Settings inside the app.

What is never collected

The app does not ask for your precise location, your contacts, your calendar, your health data, or your photo library beyond the images you deliberately choose to upload. No data is sold.

Who processes it

• Sentry — Crash and error reports, so a failure can be fixed. Processed in: European Union (de.sentry.io).
• PostHog — Product analytics — which screens and features are used. Processed in: European Union (eu.i.posthog.com).
• Supabase — The database and file storage holding your account and anything you save. Processed in: European Union (eu-west-1).
• Cloudflare — Stores and serves the published images, including the ones you upload. Processed in: Global network; stored in the European Union.
• OpenAI — Checks each uploaded image for prohibited content, and whether it shows a Minecraft build, before it is published. Images are not used to train models. Processed in: United States, under Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Expo — Delivers notifications about your builds, if you turn them on. Processed in: United States, under Standard Contractual Clauses.
• RevenueCat — Records which purchases and subscriptions belong to your account. Processed in: United States, under Standard Contractual Clauses.
• Paddle — Sells subscriptions on the website as Merchant of Record: takes the payment, your billing details and the tax due, and handles refunds. Processed in: United Kingdom, under the UK adequacy decision.
• Google AdMob — Serves the adverts in the app. Processed in: United States, under Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your account

The app does not create an account when you install it. One is created the first time you do something that needs the server, such as making a purchase or publishing something, and until then nothing about you exists on the server at all.

An account created that way has no name, no email address and no password, unless you choose to add an email address so you can sign in on another device. An account that has been inactive for 30 days and holds nothing is deleted automatically.

The website

Blockyard: Build Ideas also has a website at blockyard-app.com. It sets no cookies for analytics and stores nothing on your device while you browse: page views are counted without an identifier that outlives the page, and error reports carry no personal data. If you sign in on the website, your session is kept in your browser's local storage, which is strictly necessary for staying signed in, and it is removed when you sign out. Signing in uses the same account as the app. The website is served by Cloudflare, which processes your IP address to deliver it and to protect it from abuse.

Age

Blockyard: Build Ideas asks for your age before you use it and stores an age band rather than your date of birth, which is also what decides that under-18 users are never shown personalised advertising. Where the operating system can tell the app an age range that a parent has already confirmed, the app uses that instead of asking you.

How long it is kept

Crash and analytics data is retained by the processors above on their own schedules and is not linked to your identity. Anything held under your account is kept until you delete it, and an empty, inactive anonymous account is purged after 30 days.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask for it to be corrected or erased, object to processing, and complain to a supervisory authority. Deletion is built into the app — see deleting your data — and anything else, write to support@mobileapp-factory.com and you will get an answer within 30 days.

Changes

This document is regenerated whenever the app changes what it collects, so it cannot fall behind the app. Material changes are announced in the app before they take effect.
